Jeremy Tarbox will be talking at Kempsey Library about his experiences in Guatemala, where he volunteered for 10 weeks with an agricultural cooperative, living in indigenous communities focusing on organic production. He will discuss the experience of village living and the 3 projects he completed on seed harvesting, village attitudes to seed sovereignty and the documentation of the production processes for their crops.
About the speaker: A former student of Melville High School, Jeremy has a Chemical Engineering degree and has recently returned to Kempsey. He has been selected as a Rotary World Peace Fellow to study a masters Degree in Argentina during 2010 and 2011 focusing on International Development.
