Jeremy Tarbox will be speaking at Kempsey Library about his volunteer experiences in Cuba – a land that is famous for rum and cigars, music and dance, Revolution and Resistance. Part of the Southern Cross Brigade that visited Cuban education, health and government institutions, unions, permaculture/sustainable agriculture cooperatives during December 2008/January 2009, Jeremy’s particular interest is agricultural sustainability in Cuba.
About the speaker: A former student of Melville High School, Jeremy has a Chemical Engineering degree and has recently returned to Kempsey. He has been selected as a Rotary World Peace Fellow to study a masters Degree in Argentina during 2010 and 2011 focusing on International Development.
