The next session of the Living Library will be held at Kempsey Library on
Wednesday, 25 November 2009, from 3pm to 6pm
The Living Library is a great opportunity to meet interesting people in our community – people whose lives are in some way unusual or different and who are happy to talk with others and share their “life journey”.
The library provides a safe setting for these conversations to occur. Each of our invited people will be wearing a special vest to indicate they are a Living Book and available to be booked for a session. Visitors to the Living Library will be able to select their preferred Living Book and talk one on one with that person for half an hour. The session can be extended if no-one else is waiting. Light refreshments will be available.
The following “living books” will be available on the day:
“Ordinary Mum facing extraordinary challenges” DIANE BOAKES
“Service with a smile and a chat” BRYAN EMERY
“Beyond the screen of gum trees” STEVE MACDONALD
“Journeys through teaching, and travelling tales” GARY MUNDAY
“Talking about Aboriginal heritage” KEVIN SMITH
“The wanderer” UNCLE BLUE
“My black Chinese eyes” HAILI TANG
No need to book, just come along on the day anytime between 3pm and 6pm. For enquiries, please phone Kempsey Library on 6566 3210, or email ksclibrary@kempsey.nsw.gov.au
